Traditional plastic manufacturing is a laborious process requiring many steps and extremely expensive machinery. 

How many steps?  Let’s count them.

1. First, you need the mold. Plastic Injection Molds are made from very expensive metal molds which take months to make and cost often well past $1 million dollars each! and heaven help you if you need to modify it. That usually means making a new mold with the same expense and delay.
   1. Not with PhotonCast! A mold can be created using any number of common 3D printing techniques with molds typically being finished and ready within one day and usually under $20!
2. Purchasing or renting an Injection Molding Machine, or have a shop do the work for you. Hand out your check book, do I need to say more?
